Skills Workshops

Cultivating Connection


For Faculty, Staff and Students

This FREE 4-week relationship workshop is provided online, and is designed to help partners increase closeness by replacing ineffective conflict behaviors with positive interactions. All partners are asked to attend the workshop simultaneously, and it is highly recommended that they start at module one.

  • Series 1: Wed., 12 PM - 1 PM,  Sept 11 - Oct 2 (online)
  • Series 2: Wed., 12 PM - 1 PM,  Oct 23 - Nov 13 (online)


Individuals affiliated with U of U must register online to attend. Please, be aware that registrations submitted after the 2nd module of the series concluded will not be considered.

*Partners do not have to be U of U affiliated.

Mental Coaching for Success


For Students

This FREE 4-week workshop is offered in person in a series of 4 modules. It is designed to help students gain practical skills to help with planning, organization, time management, focus, and avoiding procrastination. It is highly recommended that participants start at module one, if possible.

  • No in-person sessions scheduled at this time


All participants must register online to attend. Please, be aware that registrations submitted after the 3rd module of the series concluded will not be considered.

Taming Stress


For Students, Faculty and Staff

This is a FREE 2-week workshop provided in series of 2 modules. Some series are provided online (zoom link provided after registration), and others in person (see our location at the bottom of the webpage). Participants will learn effective and practical skills they can use to cope with stress, anxiety and depression, as well as the distress of these challenging times.

The series schedule is as follows, excluding holidays and breaks:

  • Series 1: Tues., 4 PM - 5 PM,  Sept 3 & Sept 10 (SSB 380)
  • Series 2: Tues., 4 PM - 5 PM,  Sept 17 & Sept 24 (SSB 380)
  • Series 3: Tues., 4 PM - 5 PM,  Oct 15 & Oct 22 (SSB 380)
